Bold National

Bold National, “Phillip”

Bio: Phillip was one of Collette’s first OTTBs. Born in 1981, he went through the 1982 Fasig-Tipton Fall Mixed Sale at Saratoga (Hip #105) but did sell. He then went on to race 36 times for 3 firsts, 2 seconds and 6 thirds earning a total of $14,191 in his lifetime. He had two half siblings and one full sibling. Once retired from racing, Phillip spent his days as a jumper and eventer (although dressage was not his forte). He was also a quite a reliable show hunter and did well at local shows, including A-Rated events. In his later years he transitioned into a great school horse for children and adults just learning how to ride. He died of natural causes in his late 20’s and is buried on the property, forever in our hearts.

Tracks Attended: Erie Downs, Finger Lakes, Penn National and Keystone Race Track.
